Preventive measures in connection with the coronavirus widely spreading in China and in other countries are continued to be strengthened. At the instruction of President Ilham Aliyev, preventive measures are taken against the epidemic in Azerbaijan. The negotiations on the evacuation of Azerbaijani students in China are underway.

In accordance with the decisions adopted at the meeting held at the Cabinet of Ministers for taking preventive measures against the epidemic at the instruction of President Ilham Aliyev, the enlightenment of the population is one of the main issues which need attention. In connection with this, starting from yesterday, residents have been receiving an SMS on their mobile phones containing recommendations of the Ministry of Health.

In connection with the coronavirus threat, special hospital rooms have been allocated in several hospitals, including the Scientific-Research Institute of Pulmonary Diseases, Clinical Medical Center and No 7 Children’s Infection Hospital.

According to head of the Consultative Policlinic Department of the Scientific-Research Institute of Pulmonary Diseases Naila Mahmudova, so far, no coronavirus cases have been registered in Azerbaijan. Despite all of this, hospital rooms isolated and provided with special equipment have been created at the Institute.

When it comes to being protected from the coronavirus, people are recommended to strictly follow the hygienic rules, stay away from public places, apply to a nearby hospital in case of coughing, fatigue and this kind of cases. The statement of the World Health Organization also reads that no coronavirus cases have been registered in Azerbaijan. However, to prevent the entrance of the disease to the country, the organization is planning to bring to Azerbaijan tests against the coronavirus in a short period of time. According to the World Health Organization, the genetic code of the virus has already been identified. It will help identify the disease faster. The Azerbaijani students in China are also in focus of the state.

According to the Azerbaijani students in China, life in some Chinese cities is already partially normalized.
